New Narratives tours are organized by the Amsterdam Museum, in collaboration with guests from outside the museum, to engage in a dialogue about our exhibitions and shared past. As part of Black Achievement Month, we are happy to announce that Jennifer Tosch will give a guided tour in the exhibition The Golden Coach. The tour will take place on October 17th at 3.00 PM. 

Jennifer Tosch, is a cultural historian and founder of Black Heritage Tours in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and New York State. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to Surinamese parents and moved to Amsterdam in 2012 to further her studies. She founded the Black Heritage Tour in 2013 and has co-authored 3 guide books on Dutch colonial history: Amsterdam Slavery Heritage (2014), Dutch New York Histories (2017) and the Netherlands Slavery Heritage (2019). Jennifer is also co-founder of Sites of Memory Foundation (2019) and a member of the Mapping Slavery Project Netherlands.  

The tour is free of charge but you do need a museum ticket as well. Please purchase both a free Tour-ticket as well as a museum ticket.
